About Kujiponya

Based out of Charlotte, NC, Kujiponya is a nonprofit organization that specializes in holistic health for people of African descent. At Kujiponya we believe that wellness and healing starts from within. Meaning “self heal” in Swahili, Kujiponya was Founded by two Sister Queens who were on a spiritual mission to understand themselves, their ancestors and their purpose. Because we believe wellness starts from within, we have created introspective exercises and practices to address the mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the Black community. At Kujiponya we embody and promote self healing through an array of services including community workshops, spiritual retreats, yoga sessions, moon circles and metaphysical connections, just to name a few.

Rishonda's bio

Hailing from Charlotte, NC Rishonda is a Co-Founder and CEO of Kujiponya. Rishonda thought her life was perfect – loving relationship, fancy sports car, thriving career, until one day she answered a call to her life’s purpose that she could no longer run from. In accepting her mission in life she lost her job, crashed her car and ended her long term relationship – and thought that she was being punished as life as she knew it was over. Through an intense spiritual journey what she actually learned was that the Universe needed to break her “Earthly ego dominated shell” and rebuild her to remember who she was before time, money, laws and practicality corrupted the World. A powerful dual-worker whose main purpose on Earth is to help, heal and guide her people into their spiritual truth, Rishonda lives to support and protect people of African American descent. Specializing in shadow work, manifestation and metaphysical connections, Rishonda honors and takes pride in her Ancestors and being chosen to use her gifts to serve her community in such a way.
